The story:

There were hundreds of country music songs I listened to on the radio during my high school and college years--many of which I taped off the radio. I always thought the lyrics I heard to this tune were correct, and might have even been suggestive of marijuana smoking. I also got the artist wrong as well--for years, I always thought Hank Williams, Jr. recorded this tune.
