    I had been introduced to the song through "Glee" and after listening to it had spoken to my husband about how great it was. He played me The Zombies original. Given the band name I guess the idea of the song being about a Zombie girl was in my head because I sang out loud about "how many people died". happily thinking to myself that this girl must have zombified them all. My husband said "WHAT words did you sing?!?".
