The story:

Boy, it was wrong. I thought the part with we haven't had that spirit here was referring to that they hadn't been happy there for a long time. I didn't pay attetion much to the captain line, even though I could understand it and thought maybe it referred to the greeter lady.
Now that I've realized I'm wrong, I think it's pretty silly. I can here the proper lyrics now.
