The story:
For the longest time, despite hearing this song on the radio all the time as a kid, I could never make out most of the lyrics to this song other than, "It don't matter if you're black or white". I really liked the song though, and I was singing it to myself as I was doing some chores around the house. My family heard me, and just kept laughing. My brother even came up with parody lyrics based on my misinterpretation:
"I hit my baby on the side of the head,
I put her in the freezer,
Then I went to bed."
And, for the record, I still don't know what a "Saturday Bang" is.
