The story:

I was six. I didn't recognize a lot of words back then. I thought United States of America was one word, that 'frall' was another word for 'the end', and had no clue what a 'witchit' was, only that I was certain that it was a small wrench.

I don't quite remember how I found out that it wasn't, either through asking my father if he had a witchit, or seeing the actual words written down somewhere, or being teased on the bus about it, only that it was really quite embarrassing finding out I'd been wrong and made a word up and believed in it for years longer than was really appropriate.
