The story:
My girlfriend sang this out loud whilst listening to it on a walkman in a railway carriage in Italy. Still as one guy remarked, "It's the same thing isn't it?"
She was German, so can be excused, and also thought that Dire Straits wanted their money for nothing and chips for free.
