The story:
They sing it so much faster than the original, you can't understand half of what James is saying anyway! I actually didn't know the original lyric until I googled it, I just went by what I thought it sounded like. I figured it was incorrect, I just didn't care. I've never heard of a traffic spoon, it made no sense to me, I just didn't care. I ignored most of Metallica's stuff from the black album until Death Magnetic.
For the record, I also thought the intro sounded like: "Riddly liddly saddly on a saddly moany, I was dreaming I was Al Ca-po-oan".
