The story:
I'd been singing those lyrics since age 6, thanks to my dad's love of folk music (he jus' loved him some Simon & Garfunkel & Joan Baez). Apparently he never had the heart to correct me. When I was about 20, my boyfriend & I were watching a documentary on the 60's (I'm now 30) & saw a clip of S&G singing the song acoustically...I told him what I used to sing. And he still married me!! Now we occassionally mutilate song lyrics together.
