The story:
Not so much embarrassment as utter
disappointment: What I thought was a bittersweet
summation of the ambiguity of a working class
life - " ... you'd be on your skids if it weren't
for the job at the garage you could own the whole
world ..." - saved and imprisoned by the very
same thing - turns out, in fact, to have been a
line Debbie Harry couldn't be bothered even
finishing. "Oh-oohh-oh" indeed!
My version *unquestionably* better.
