The story:
For a long time I thought that getting your meat well done was some kind of sign of meanness within surfers. Yah it sounds obscure but how was I to know any better? Luckily I never sang these lyrics 'cause I can't stand the farquin' Beach Boys but one day, bored on the internet, I decided to make sure that I was correct in my theories... As it happens I was miles out and the original version, sadly, made a good deal more sense. I suck and mean surfers eat rare steaks, as it happens. :(
