They sing just like Mick Jagger
They seem to let you know

    Artist: Skid Row
    Song: 18 and Life
Real Lyric: 18 and life you got it18 and life you know

    The story:

Sadly, upon looking up the lyrics out of curiosity -- only as recently as the time it took for me to find info about mondegreens on the web. In other words, just now. Pretty sad, I know.

To be honest, I never really liked the song that much, nor have I ever cared much for Skid Row as they were not what I was ever really 'into'. I figured it (the lyric) was some kind of slang reference to people abusing some kind of illegal drugs or something. So I tried to forget about it - you know, block it out & think happy thoughts. :)

But hearing it again and again, day in and day out, for years and years on the radio while commuting has always prompted me to either a) change the station and suffer other crap, or b) turn it down to the point where it's less than absolutely annoying and just suffer it out.

But for some reason, any more even if I turn it off completely (& pull the truck over, get out & run like hell), that melodic hook still finds it's way through to my inner ears (and deeper into my SOUL).

Fortunately no one else knows this except for all of you people.
