I was told by my mother that these were the real lyrics, cos I had asked her why anyone would want someone else to tell them lies.
Ten years later, I'm singing this song in the car with friends, when I realize I am singing the wrong lyrics.
All my friends started laughing at me, and I had no desire to tell them why I was singing those lyrics.
