Actually, this was my boyfriend. Just the other day this song came on the radio. When that lyric was sung he looked at me and said, "I've never understood that line. It makes no sense to me." I asked him to explain it to me, and he did. I laughed so hard he turned beet red!! I asked him how long he thought that was the lyric, and he replied he thought it from the first time he heard the song.
