I have been singing it that way ever since I first heard the song. That the guy singing was my own personal Jesus and wanted me to reach out and touch him. My fiance and I were in the car this weekend and when I heard him singing "reach out, touch faith," I had to ask if those were the real words. He gave me a strange look and then started laughing.
