The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
This was not me, but many various and sundry people throughout my life. My name really IS "Lucia," pronounced "Lu-sha," and when this song was first released (I was about 14) I can't begin to tell you how many people informed me that there was a new Suzanne Vega song with my name in it. Very often they absolutely refused to believe it when I informed them that they were mistaken, so I finally bought the 45 (remember those?) so I could prove it.
I still run into the occasional person who thinks they're being oh-so-witty by singing the song to me, substituting "Lucia" for "Luka." I wish the freaking song had never been written.
