I misheard this when the song originally came out in the early 1970s. I didn't understand how that went with the rest of the lyrics, but, hey, I wasn't a famous singer/songwriter like Paul Simon. My sister corrected me, but didn't tease me too much because she agreed it did sound like "toilet bowl" during the chorus. When we hear that song today, we crack up.
