My mother and I were singing this in the car, and I'd always sung it this way. I thought it was a mean song, and I told my mom so, and she looked at me like I was crazy. Then I sang the chorus and she burst out laughing, and said "You idiot! It's 'never gonna', not 'man, I'm gonna'!"
