The story:

Basically I was singing along with my roommate who noticed my little gaffe. However, we both thought I was the right one since I listen to so much more ELO than he does. We got into a deep discussion of the religious implications the song held and were having a really good time at it when we decided to see if anyone else had come to these same conclusions. All the online sources we used had the real lyric, and our interpretation of the song was apparently invalid because of it.
