Just this minute when I read someone else's entry on the site. I never questioned my version; I figured it fit well with the overall macabre feel of Batman Forever. I assumed he was in a graveyard, got scared and with eyes newly-widened could now see this ghost who kisses him softly but coldly--like a rose on a grave.
