I realized that the wrong lyrics COULD'T be right, as they didn't match the subject of the song, but who am I to argue with Don Henley?
Fortunately, I was saved from fatal embarrassment by being alone at the time, but I thought I had been a dunce.
I thought my version was certainly less conventional.
