Well, since I was about three when I heard this song for the first time I wasn't really embarrased, but I was scared. You see, the Detroit Edison is our electric company and the "Edison Man" used to come around to read the meters. Well, I was always scared of having a stranger walking around the house, and I thought that this was his theme song!!
