The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
This misheard lyric is not my own but rather was heard in a local bar. A friend of my husband's was singing along with the juke box, and when he sang his misheard lyrics, his buddies reacted with, "What the _ are you singing, man!" He was not easily persuaded that HIS lyrics were wrong! They were in their late 20's at the time.
Thirty years later we still laugh about it. In fact, I had to think hard to remember what the real lyrics were b/c we refer to the sang now, as Here Lies Carmen!
