The story:

I don't remember, but my sister and my dad also thought it was "the walk on by". I think we all realised that it's really "Walk of Life" when we saw the title on MTV or something. (I was about 12 then.)

I actually just found out a moment ago that the seagull part was wrong when I looked up the lyrics online. (I am 28 now, and still learning.)
