    The story:

Well, I heard this song at some time by chance on AM Radio in somewhat low quality in my car, and rememebered having it on CD somewhere, because I had liked it for its rhythm and "drive", but had never cared a lot about its lyrics. Only while listening to it in the car, then, the words of the refrain -or rather, what I thought they were -suddenly did make it from my ears into my brain.
I later dug out the CD I had it on and always used to play it with a certain glee when I was prompted to take along my possible mother-in-law and other obnoxious examples of the female species - until a day when a more observative one asked why "I always was putting this certain grin on my face" when that specific song was playing. She had made the connection alright in her mind, but wasn't aware of the real reason. The next time I drove her home, she produced a printout of the lyrics and insisted that I declare a reason why I was grinning. Well, I didn't give her the real reason, but rather some lame rant about the song in general. I don't she believed me, but she also never got the wiser.
To my apology, I must declare here that the words "...one of us has..." are pronunced very rapidly by the singer, so, at least in one place, the true version is almost aurally indistinguishable from mine.
