When this song was on the radio, I was about 8 -
10. My mom thought they were singing "Chicken
goofy, chicken goofy, yeah yeah". I'm sure she
didn't really think that, she wasn't dumb, but she
couldn't tell what they were singing (they didn't
call it booty up in Maine when she grew up) so she
heard it that way. So she made up a new chicken
dish, and when we asked her what it was called she
named it 'Chicken Goofy'. And that was our
favorite.
