When I was first getting into Hendrix and my dad had already been a huge fan, I had just heard Hendrix's version of "All Along.." I told my dad how funny and fitting it was that Hendrix changed Dylan's "dig my earth" to "take my herb." My dad looked at me like he was ashamed to have any part in my birth, and then just laughed.
