I'd first heard this song on the radio in the 7th grade. This was also probably the first year in which I knew what a "machete" was. I could also never find out who the artist was to this mysterious, yet wonderful song until yesterday, at (freshly-turned, I might add) 19 when I happened to stumble across the mp3. I bought the Breeders' "Last Splash" CD about an hour later and finally read the lyrics.
