The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
My dad's actually the one who misheard this. As his story goes, one day at work the song came on the radio and everyone in the office started singing it. It was a real Broadway moment. Afterwards, my dad's got the song stuck in his head so he's humming it and then busts out in song. One of his coworkers overhears and asks, "What are you sining?" That's when my dad learned that for 30 plus years, he had been singing "Lodi" very wrong. The funniest part is the fact that my dad worked the fields during college to pay his tutition and at one point he really was in stuck in Lodi picking grapes!
