The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
We were 14 and my friend fancied one of the guys who worked at the local ice rink. During a particularly quiet day at the ice rink, she thought she would really impress him with her skating (and singing!). When she came off the ice, looking very pleased with herself, she described to me in detail what she had been doing and singing the line she had been singing every time she had skated past the guy in question. She was mortified when I pointed out to her what the actual lyrics were and wondered what this guy must have thought of her skating past saying "It's getting warmer". And yes, this really did happen to my friend and not me. It's not one of those "Someone I know....." embarrassing stories.
