I have just discovered how stupid I really am. Checking to see who could possibly have got the words wrong to any Devo song (beign such a fan in the eighties). Oh how I blushed jsut now. Anyway, I have now washed the egg off my face, adn am considering getting in touch with the band to see if htey are sure they were singing it right, as I think my version fits the song better - whipping and slapping surely go together, don't they? And how do you give the past a slip anyway? Slips are underskirts aren't they?
