It was April 2008, I was on my way to work when it came on the car radio and I sang along. Getting into the office, I proudly told my colleagues that I had remembered all the words to a 40-odd year old song so wasn't losing my memory afer all ... but added as an afterthought that I was a bit dubious about the bit about the politicians arguing about his socks being right. Given that I bought the single when it came out in the 60s you would have thought I would have twigged it before now! Come off it though, "Carnabetian army"? Presumably relating to Carnaby Street but would you have guessed?
