Misheard is: Funny Not Funny Story was funny. I misheard it that way too!
It was on the radio when we were in the car and I asked my mum "How come he keeps saying 'hot potatoes'?" My mum burst out laughing and told me he was saying 'Amadeus'. I still sing it in my version though. It's funnier.
