I could have sworn as a kid that this is what Elton was saying. I kept singing it that way until I stopped thinking about it. When The Who covered the song for "Two Rooms" (the tribute album to Elton that came out a few years ago), I heard Roger very clearly sing the line. Huh. I always knew the song came out before Star Wars, but it still seemed like a prescient lyric to me.
