There have been a few songs I've heard where I know they are not really singing what I think I'm hearing. There was one-Will Smith:Get Jiggy with it. Everytime I heard it, I'd try so hard to understand what he was really singing but just couldn't catch it. It came on one day when I was riding with my DD. So I asked her what in the world was he singing because I knew I had to be hearing it wrong. So, she told me. I laughed so hard the song was over before I could breath and speak clearly to tell her what I 'heard' every time he sang it. "Hit the chicken with it". To this day, if it comes on when we are together, we'll both sing 'my version'!

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who hears that phrase when he sings it! Just curious...I'm a child of the '50's and wonder if you are too. Maybe that's why we hear the same thing!!!lol SafetyFirst

I always thought he sang "Hit the chicken with it." When I sing that, my kids make a point of telling me I'm wrong. But, I still sing it wrong cos it's funnier. I don't even like that song, really. lol mspiggy
