The story:

I thought the song was about someone calling his girlfriend a b**th and she hits him for saying that so of course he says "OW!!!" I've been singing along to that for years at weddings until the day my girlfriend(now wife)just happened to hear me. She said "WHAT are you singing????" When I told her she started laughing hysterically then proceeded to tell everyone she knew. I totally thought I was singing it correctly up until that point.
