Well... I have to be honest, it wasn't me, it was Eamonn, the youngest brother of a friend of mine who misheard it, and it was my friend, his sister, Helen, who corrected him. He was very young (about 9 or 10 if I remember) so I doubt it was embarrassing to be corrected, probably it was more embarrassing to get pushed out in front of his older sister's friends to do his rendition of the song... I think it's inspired and very promising of a 9 year old to mishear in that particular way, and I reckon Jim Morrison would have approved.
