At first I only remember hearing bits of the song on the radio, and didn't really pay attention to the lyrics. I just thought it was like a party song, and this guy was singing about these different girls, but also wanted some weed for the party, or something.
Then, when I was talking with a friend about the song, I mentioned that I thought it was a bit risque for the guy to be singing about needing marijuana in the chorus a mainstream pop song, until my friend pointed out that Lou was really needing some girl named Rita, not weed.
