The story:
The song was playing on the turntable several years ago, with our four kids (in their teens and early '20's) sitting around. I must have been singing along, and my husband told me I was singing the wrong lyrics. My eldest daughter sided with me, saying she could see why I heard the lyrics I did. If you listen to the song, it sounds like there is a word after "son" (up). And, I swear they say "I brought," not "have fun." At least I thought so, listening to an old and often-played LP.
