The story:
I was watching a PBS fundraiser special with the closed captioning on and when I read the real lyrics, I couldn't believe my eyes! I think my version makes more sense, since Frankie also sang the song "Big Girls Don't Cry", which I always thought to be about a heavy-set gal, so this makes perfect sense in that context. I always thought Frankie had a "thing" for the large and lovely ladies, and that is a logical **sumption since "Oh, what a Night" seems to chronical the loss of his virginity (and with MY lyrics, at the hands of a large & lovely lady!)
