The story:

I heard it this way for years, and I even envisioned it as 'sea' not 'see'. In my version of this song there are mermaids. I was singing along to it one day, when my friend asked me to repeat that verse. When she stopped laughing, she said she heard it as 'sea' too, when I sang it.
