The story:
I was quite small, around 3 or 4 when I "reworked" these lyrics. Apparently, the entire church thought it was cute that I misheard these lyrics. I never found out my mistake until I was quite a bit older, when my mother told me. She was laughing so hard that she was crying. Apparently, I was focused on the old testament God in the misrepresentation of the lyrics - talk about being "run through the mill"! :)
