The story:
The first time I really paid any attention to the lyrics I asked my wife if she said, "Don't need a pillow tonight." Since I thought that lyric had some obscure erotic sentiment to it that matched the content of the rest of the song, it made sense. I thought maybe a modern songwriter was actually being poetic. Turns out it wasn't so...just the usual trite lyricism I come to expect from top 40 radio. I'll know better next time.
