The story:

in fourth grade, there was a boy named anish in my class. i had always heard the "clean"version so the swearing was taken out and replaced with a "shhhh" noise. well, the boy was horrendously annoying and i always thought i was correct until... i searched the lyrics to see if Gwen really hated a boy named anish. i was wrong, and i shouted whoa out loud. I was on the phone, using headphones, and my six-year-old brother was trying to sleep, and some people got annoyed. I had always thought that my version was wrong, but i still sing it that way when i hear the song.
