The story:

I was in the car with my mom when this song came on the radio. I asked her what selling red cheese had to do with the rest of the song and why anyone would want to sing about that anyway, and she started laughing at me. I know now that she also had the lyrics wrong, (I'm only a man, a sailing red sheet) but at least hers were closer.
