I was hanging with my two best friends from middle school, around 1986 or 7, we're all Beatles fans, and I started singing "April Dawn" thinking aren't I cool that I know what they're saying. My friend shot me a look, and I was shocked, but I was too embarrassed to ask her what John was actually singing. I originally heard the song on a blank tape and never really referred to the titles too much. I sort of think of both "April Dawn" and "Hey Bulldog" simultaneously when I hear the song, that makes it kind of interesting.
