I just thought the man was a hardcore vegan. And no one likes rotten tomatoes. Period.
Or maybe it was related to that old story of throwing tomatoes as a sign of disapproval. She was asking: "Are you still mad I openly disapprove you?". But the vegan story is much better, yeah. Imagine ruining your meal because of an old, rotten, ugly tomato.
