The story:
You know, after seeing the correct lyrics here, then confirming the correct ones on Toto's official site, I have to say I'm pretty embarassed. I've been singing it wrong, even in performances (!!!) since 1984.
In retrospect, I realize that a female leopard would be a leopardess, not a lepress.
The question now becomes, why would Olympus be rising above the Serengeti???????
