The story:
I knew I had to be hearing it wrong, but whenever this song came on the radio, I had this vision of a girl named Sherri who for some reason had a problem with people carrying around asphalt in buckets.
Then I saw a TV commercial spoofing misheard lyrics in this song, and it got me interested enough to actually look up what it was supposed to be.
