The story:
A friend of mine is going through a really messy divorce and as I was driving and thinking of all his troubles I found myself singing along to this song with the new alternate lyrics in his honour (or pity?)
I knew the real lyrics, so it was only mildly misheard, but I do think my "version" is far more appropriate for the disco dancing, non-marrying crowd. I think I'll keep singing it like this and see if I convince anyone my version is authentic.
