The story:
I was 18 and listening to the song with my then-boyfriend, who was also my first "real" boyfriend. I had turned him onto the band and was trying to further show him how much more worldly I was, musically anyway. I sang the line, and he corrected me. We ended up finding a book with the lyrics and he got to prove me wrong. Very embarrassing. Got my revenge when I made out with his friend at a party...after we broke up.
